When we are performing an opener repair, we always try to replace with brand specific parts such as Liftmaster, Chamberlain, and Genie, to ensure optimal functionality. Universal electronics will not always work the best for the long haul. The doors themselves do not normally need brand specific but definitely need high quality steel parts!
